Individual Experience:
Okan Beygo joined ASC Law Office in May, 2005.  In the short period since then, Mr. Beygo has successfully led the team representing the Saving Deposit Insurance Fund with respect to its USD 1,000,000,000 Non-Performing Loan Sale. Utilizing his experience in finance and corporate law, Mr. Beygo has acted as the legal counsel for Acıbadem Group in several credit facility transactions including IFC loans; and advised on the acquisition of  International Hospital by Acıbadem.

Mr. Beygo began his legal career as an associate at White & Case before taking a position as in-house legal advisor for Citibank. In these positions he gained experience in project teams advising multinational clients and developed expertise in myriad areas of business law.

Mr. Beygo later served Doğuş Holding, one of the largest Turkish holding companies, as senior in-house counsel; and participated in several M&A and JV transactions including the Volkswagen – Doğus JV and Doğuş’s acquisition of Tansaş shares which is one of the largest retail chain stores within Turkey.

As head of the Legal Department from 1998 to 2004 at Garanti Bank, a Doğuş Group bank, Mr. Beygo advised on transnational banking transactions, including the proposed acquisition of Garanti Bank shares by IntesaBcı S.P.A in 2001.

During his time at Doğuş, Mr. Beygo represented the Doğuş–Doğan–Sabancı–Telefonnica consortium in two major telecom-deals, namely in the bid for the GSM 1800 license; and Türk Telekom’s unrealized privatization. Mr. Beygo also represented the Swiss Air-Doğuş-Sabancı-Doğan consortium and the Koç-Doğuş consortium in the privatizations of Turkish Airlines and the Turkish Petroleum Corporation respectively.
